We’re delighted that Dornan Engineering chose to support Construction Youth Trust again with their annual charity golf day – a brilliant event that combined friendly competition with a powerful reminder of why this partnership matters so much.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Essendon Golf Course, the day saw 19 teams take to the course for an exciting shotgun start across 18 holes. Alongside the golf, Dornan Engineering generously ran a fundraising raffle packed with excellent prizes, giving everyone the chance to contribute further to the cause. Every penny raised on the day goes straight back into our work, helping us reach and support young Londoners who face barriers into the world of work!

Following a delicious lunch in the clubhouse, and the presenting of the golf competition prizes, a real highlight of the day came when Katerina, a Construction Youth Trust alumna stood up to share her story. Katerina joined Dornan Engineering last year on a BIM apprenticeship, and she spoke so confidently about how Construction Youth Trust gave her the voice and courage to pursue a career in construction, and how Dornan Engineering gave her the opportunity that kick-started her journey!
It’s moments like these, hearing directly from someone whose life has been changed, that remind us exactly why we do this work. 🤝
