In September 2025, an inspiring team of 21 colleagues from Ruddy Joinery laced up their boots and took on the challenge of climbing Snowdon – all in aid of Construction Youth Trust!

What began as a physical challenge quickly became a powerful display of teamwork, determination and shared purpose. The fundraiser brought together Ruddy Joinery’s site, factory and office staff, uniting them around a cause that matters deeply to everyone at the company: helping young people to overcome barriers and creating real opportunities for them to thrive, succeed, and shape the future of the construction industry.

After an early wake-up and a hearty breakfast, the team began their hike on the Llanberis Path. Along the way, moments of teamwork and support stood out; from carrying backpacks for others, to encouraging one another on the steeper sections and celebrating milestones together. They enjoyed the journey as one team, sharing stories, laughs and much-needed snack breaks!

In just over five hours, the team proudly reached the summit and were rewarded with breathtaking views!

As well as succeeding in the physical goal, the team reached new heights in their fundraising, going well above and beyond their initial target. Thanks to the generosity of colleagues, families and friends, as well as Ruddy Joinery’s suppliers, clients and subcontractors, the team brilliantly raised nearly £13,700 towards the work of Construction Youth Trust! What an incredible achievement.

The funds raised by Ruddy Joinery will support our charitable purposes, including programmes that create real opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them to achieve genuinely transformative next steps in the construction industry.
