Our place-based approach sees us form strong local networks with referral partners, employers and schools, enabling us to connect diverse local young talent to employment and training opportunities in their area. Through a collaborative approach with our partners we are able to help young people discover opportunities that they may not have otherwise known about or have been able to access.
Alongside learning and revision for their Level 1 Health & Safety and CSCS card qualifications, young people also attended online employer-led sessions that help them to develop skills vital for the world of work.
Sessions ranged from CV Masterclasses to Finding and Applying for Apprenticeships and are invaluable resources for young people who have previously missed out on work experience opportunities, giving them a chance to build employability skills that will make them stand out in future applications and get live feedback from professionals.
Following the programme, we will continue to give 1-1 advice and guidance to the young people enrolled, supporting them to ensure they are able to fully benefit from career opportunities in their local area.
