Merchant industry unites to support the next generation in memory of Maddie Rose

18/01/2022 News

The merchant industry is coming together to participate in a charity cycling challenge from Land’s End to John O’Groats in memory of Maddie Rose.

The Construction Industry Ride for Youth Challenge is being organised by IBC Buying Group, which will see more than 40 people take on approximately 960 miles between the 17th-27th of May 2023. Participants will attempt to cycle 100 miles a day for 10 consecutive days – a challenge not for the faint hearted!

All monies raised will be split equally between Construction Youth Trust and the Unitas Youth Zone. The money will be donated in the name of Maddie Rose, a young woman whose life was cut short in tragic circumstances and who was well-known and loved by many in the industry.

Want to join the challenge?

Places in the Ride for Youth team are expected to be filled quickly, so if you are interested in taking part please register your interest now.

The challenge is being hosted by pie Events, who will arrange all food and accommodations for the 11-night, fully guided and fully supported trip. Participants just need to arrange travel to the starting point near Land’s End, and travel home from Inverness 10 triumphant days later.
