Frank Bastow, CEO of building and restoration company Bastows Ltd courageously walked 100km in aid of the Trust at the weekend. He took part in the Thames Path Challenge, a gruelling test of stamina and determination along the Thames Path in London.
As a valued supporter of the Trust and keen walker Frank decided to combine his passion for challenge events with his firm belief in giving young people from disadvantaged backgrounds a chance to succeed in life. The Trust was thrilled to hear he had chosen us as his nominated charity and pledged to raise £5000 to support our work.
Frank kept his twitter followers updated along the way, and despite facing some challenging moments he completed the journey in 23 hours and 19 minutes.
We are extremely proud of Frank and very honoured that he worked so hard to raise money for our cause. In total he raised £5,580 for his efforts and is still hoping to raise more! Christine Townley Executive Director at the Trust commented:” I am really impressed with the effort that Frank has gone to raise money for the Trust and help raise its profile. He has gone the extra 100km and we really value that. Thank you Frank!”
