Celebrating at the Senedd

We celebrated the success of the SMYF project yesterday at the Welsh Senedd at an event sponsored by Mark Drakeford AM, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Local Government.  Julie Morgan AM for Cardiff North spoke to the guests and Dusty Kennedy from the Youth Justice Board explained the value of the project to young people when their supervision has ended.  He explained “it gives people somewhere to go…and we really appreciate the project.  The system is working the best it’s ever worked”.

Guests were given pledge cards and a petition to encourage the Welsh Government to continue to find ways of funding the SYMF programme.

The SYMF project is delivered in partnership with CBSA Ltd, SOVA, Construction Youth Trust & GISDA and provides vital support for some of the most vulnerable young people to develop their employability skills.
