SROI KTP awarded 'Outstanding' rating

Our KTP with London South Bank University has now been given the rare 'Outstanding' rating - the highest possible award - by the KTP Grading Panel.

The ground-breaking new metric developed in partnership with LSBU is bridging the gap between business and the not-for-profit sector by providing a robust way of calculating social return on investment (SROI).

Measuring return on investment is one of the main yardsticks we use the judge the success of a campaign, project or initiative. But a project may well deliver much more than a boost to the bottom line including wide-...

Launch of #NotJustForBoys campaign

Yesterday marked the launch of our brand new campaign - #NotJustForBoys, aimed at encouraging young people to look at careers in the built environment.

Particularly focusing on changing the misconception that construction careers are aimed only at men, we want the campaign to get young people talking about which careers are best for them. We are hoping more young women will start to look at the hundreds of careers options the industry has to offer too.

Construction Youth Trust has been involved in encouraging more women into construction for many years. Last year, we released a...

Skyline Challenge 2015

Yesterday teams from across the construction industry raced up 37 floors of the Heron Tower to help young people to reach new heights.

The Heron Tower stands at 755ft tall, the tallest building in the City of London, and proved to be a real challenge even for even the most experienced climbers! The beautiful weather provided perfect conditions for a breathtaking panoramic view over London, and the after-event celebrations with cocktails from Kampai Cocktails certainly went down well.

Mark the day in the calendar, for today we bid farewell to our friend and colleague Katie Letchfield [Business Development and Volunteer Coordinator- we were going to go with a longer title] who is leaving the Trust after just over two amazing years.

Katie has achieved so much during her time at the Trust, from helping to shape our corporate engagement strategy, to helping to find volunteers for our programmes - probably all while arranging a food tasting for an event we are hosting; and naturally, with a smile and the classic Letchfield positive solution focus!
