Construction Youth Trust work in Wales recognised with top award

The Construction Youth Trust is delighted to have won the Director’s Award at ConstructionSkills’ Built on Success awards lunch held at the Celtic Manor on the 6th March 2009.  Christine Townley, Director Construction Youth Trust “On behalf of The Trust I am delighted to have won the Director’s Award and look forward to the continued growth and success of our work in South Wales.””

The Trust operates three mobile construction vehicles in south Wales which deliver taster sessions in a variety of construction related industries such as plastering, plumbing and tiling, to disaffected young people.   The Trust is delighted that these projects have received such valuable recognition and believes that this will bode well for the projects’ future. The Construction Youth Trust is committed to removing barriers and bridging the gap between communities and employers. The Trust enables local young people to maximise the benefits available to them as a result of the massive regeneration projects happening throughout Wales. Over the next couple of months the Trust will be launching new initiatives across south Wales in Neath Port Talbot and Rhondda Cynon Taff.
