Construction Cup 2017

We are so excited and grateful to be charity partner again for this year's Construction Cup with IBI Group!

The Construction Cup, one of the industry’s most popular charity football tournaments last year celebrated its first ever event where equality was the goal. This year the event will once again be in support of Construction Youth Trust and our ongoing diversity campaign #notjustforboys.

Organised by global design and technology firm, IBI Group and headline sponsored by contractors, Wates Construction the event saw 32 teams unite together and raised over £5,600 in aid of Construction Youth Trust.

Katie Endicott from IBI Group said: “Football, similar to the construction industry can be male-dominated, therefore we wanted to encourage women to be an integral part of the event. Launching our #CC2016Equality campaign offers an important opportunity to celebrate the diverse make-up of our talented industry. It has received unprecedented support; enhancing the fun, competitive spirt of a tournament that continues to give back to the community, year on year.”

John Graham from Construction Youth Trust said: “We are delighted that the Construction Cup event is focusing on equality as this couldn’t be better aligned with our own campaign; ‘#notjustforboys’. We are looking forward to putting the funds raised from this fantastic event into educate, train and inspire more women and young people find their career paths in the construction industry.”
