Annual Livery Careers Showcase Event

We attended the Annual Livery Careers Showcase Event at Guildhall with the Worshipful Company of Paviors

Schools were invited to bring groups of pupils to the event, aimed to signpost them to a range of career paths and job opportunities across many disciplines, which will appeal to students of all abilities and ambitions.

We attended the event with BAM Nuttall supporting the Worshipful Company of Paviors to inspire students about the breadth of careers opportunities in the construction industry. We were delighted to see our stand constantly busy and students enjoying interactive challenges. BAM Nuttall highlighted the use of technology in the sector by giving students a taster of how virtual reality can be used in construction and they were absolutely thrilled! Another highlight of the day was that many girls visited our stand to learn more about construction, a sector where women are traditionally under-represented.

Ian Edwards from the Worshipful Company of Paviors commented: “The event was a fantastic opportunity for students to network with companies and learn more about sectors they might have never heard of before. We were delighted to have individual conversations with pupils, both girls and boys and inspire them about the rewarding careers construction and civil engineering can offer.”
