Spooky Scavenger Hunt for CIC's 25th Anniversary

The Trust recently held a Halloween themed Scavenger Hunt for CIC’s 25th Anniversary.

Six teams from HOK, Considerate Constructors Scheme, ACE, Stride Treglown, RICS took part, and CIC also entered a team. The scavenger hunt clues took the teams around a course in the Square Mile in London, where teams had to race against the clock to answer a construction themed quiz, and gain bonus points for taking pictures of their scary Halloween props with different landmarks along the way. Trust to host CIC Scavenger Hunt for 25th Anniversary

The Trust is delighted to have been nominated as Construction Industry Council’s chosen charity for their 25th Anniversary celebrations this year.

On the 1st November 2013 CIC will celebrate 25 years as representatives’ forum for the professional bodies, research organisations and specialist business associations for professional services providers in the construction industry. CIC is celebrating its 25th year by hosting a number of events including organising our annual Scavenger Hunt.

Frank goes the extra 100 kilometers!

Frank Bastow, CEO of building and restoration company Bastows Ltd courageously walked 100km in aid of the Trust at the weekend. He took part in the Thames Path Challenge, a gruelling test of stamina and determination along the Thames Path in London.

As a valued supporter of the Trust and keen walker Frank decided to combine his passion for challenge events with his firm belief in giving young people from disadvantaged backgrounds a chance to succeed in life. Recipro team to walk 34 miles for Construction Youth Trust

We are delighted that a dedicated team from Recipro UK will be walking 34 miles to raise money to help us continue our work with young people.

The team of 5 will be walking the Sandstone Trail a 34 mile/55 km walk across the county of Cheshire beginning at the market town of Frodsham on the broad Mersea estuary, in the north, to Georgian Whitchurch in rural north Shropshire, in the south. The total ascent will be approximately 4500 feet.

The Trust held a drinks reception in Cardiff last week to celebrate the success of some of our young beneficiaries and to thank our supporters for their commitment to helping us on our mission to guiding and supporting young people into employment.

Over 40 guests from the industry attended the evening for a drinks reception which was hosted and supported by law firm Capital Law, a leading provider of commercial legal services to private and public sector clients throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.

Over 150 guests from the Construction Industry were welcomed by HRH The Duke of Gloucester to celebrate our 20th Annual Christmas Concert last week.

Last week Construction Youth Trust hosted a Summer Reception as an opportunity to thank some of its principal donors.

Construction Youth Trust is delighted to be taking part in celebrations at The Building Centre on 3 May 2012.

Construction Youth Trust has celebrated 50 successful years with a reception at the Trust’s headquarters in The Building Centre, London.
