Women in Property
The Women in Property National Student Awards were launched in 2007 to mark the 20th birthday of the association. The awards are open to second year, female students studying a built environment course and are run in conjunction with the Construction Youth Trust.
The awards scheme was launched to encourage and inspire young women studying built environment degree courses and raise awareness among their potential employers, of the wealth of talent coming into the industry.
2009 is the scheme's third successive year with 40 universities nationwide putting forward their rising stars, totaling 60 of the most talented students from across the country.
Regional winners from nine regions go forward to be judged at the 'Best of the Best' final in London in September, the winner receiving a cheque for £1,000 and a summer work placement.
